Terms of service. A private preview, on your own machine, on these terms.

The agreement

These terms are between you and SKY, LLC ("SKY", "we") and govern docenta, the software, its updates, the docenta.ai site and the services the software talks to. By installing or using docenta you accept them. If you use docenta for an organization, you accept them on its behalf.

The license

docenta is proprietary software. SKY grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and run it on machines you control, for the term of your lease, under the license text that ships with it. You may not sell, sublicense, reverse engineer or redistribute it, or use it to build a competing product. docenta is in private preview: features, prices and terms may change, and access may end, with notice where we can give it.

Your content

Everything docenta indexes stays yours. We claim no rights to your files, mail, repositories or transcripts, and the privacy policy says exactly what the software sends us, which is not your content. You are responsible for having the right to index what you point docenta at, including mail accounts and shared drives.

Connected accounts

When you connect a mail account, you authorize docenta to fetch that account's mail to your computer. A Google account connected with "Sign in with Google" is subject to Google's terms as well as these, and our handling of Google user data is described in the privacy policy. You can disconnect an account at any time from the provider's permissions page or with docenta remove mail.

The turbo lane

The turbo lane rents a GPU on your explicit consent, which names a number of hours. The consent is the authorization to spend that amount on your behalf; the rate card shown before you consent is the price. Sealed packs are processed on a machine rented for your job alone and destroyed afterwards.

Acceptable use

Do not use docenta to index content you have no right to hold, to break the law, or to attack, probe or overload our services. Do not share license leases between people.

No warranty

docenta is provided as is and as available. To the fullest extent the law allows, SKY disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Answers are reconstructed from your own material and cite it; verify them before you act on them.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, SKY is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or revenue, arising from docenta or these terms, and SKY's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid SKY for docenta in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

You may stop using docenta at any time; docenta remove --everything removes what it kept. We may end your access if you break these terms. Sections on your content, no warranty, limitation of liability and governing law survive.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. When these terms change, the date at the top changes with them and the current text is always at docenta.ai/terms. Questions go to docenta@docenta.ai.
